Do you want to contribute your skills and experience to advancing local solutions climate change? The TAF Board has a vacancy which will be filled by a non-Toronto resident of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) with expertise in non-profit governance, grantmaking, financial/investment management and oversight and/or low-carbon solutions.
TAF’s mandate is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout the GTHA. TAF provides grants to non-profit organizations, invests its endowments, and undertakes various demonstration, policy and knowledge-sharing programs. Board responsibilities include guiding strategic and annual business plans, fiduciary oversight of the endowment, and approval of all investments and grants in accordance with TAF’s mandate.
The Board meets four times a year on weekdays at Toronto City Hall. Board members may also sit on TAF’s Investment, Grants & Programs, and other committees.
