As Net-Zero Buildings Research lead, Natalia is responsible for providing research, analytical and technical capacity to advance TAF’s decarbonization goals in new construction and existing buildings.
Her past work experience includes architectural design, project coordination, and embodied energy analysis of new buildings and existing building retrofits.
Natalia holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto, focusing on sustainable practices for the design of the built environment in the context of the climate crisis. Her research interests include whole life carbon analysis, circular design strategies, and the impact of public policy on the carbon intensity of Canadian housing standards.
Natalia is passionate about community-building, food security advocacy, and sustainable urban design strategies. She enjoys concerts, sleeping, exploring new cafes, and collecting creative hobbies – most recently pottery and linocut printing.
