2021/10/5 – The Atmospheric Fund (TAF) today celebrates the strategic partnership between BerQ RNG and Starwood Energy Group, announced earlier this month. Starwood Energy’s investment in BerQ RNG includes the acquisition of BerQ’s first renewable gas project in London, Ontario, including the interest held by TAF and co-investors. Starwood Energy and BerQ now aim to install additional renewable gas projects throughout North America, leveraging industry momentum and contributing to significant carbon reduction.
TAF kickstarted this transaction in 2019 with a commitment of $1.25 million. TAF also convened a syndicate of co-investors — Hamilton Community Foundation, London Community Foundation and VERGE Capital.
