TAF Environmental Defence Response to Condominium Act Regulatory Proposals

Considering this rapid rise in condominiums in Ontario, electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in condominiums is essential to support consumer uptake of electric vehicles. The Ministry of Government and Consumer Services (MGCS) proposes regulatory changes to the Condominium Act to support the retrofit of existing parking spaces for the inclusion of EV charging infrastructure. The Atmospheric Fund and Environmental Defence commend this policy initiative in a joint letter with recommendations for better implementation and uptake.
