February 2019. Government of Canada. The Atmospheric Fund commends Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) for its leadership in developing a Clean Fuel Standard (CFS) that targets transportation, buildings, and industry to achieve 30 million tonnes of emission reductions annually by 2030.
Our policy submission responds to the 2018 Regulatory Design Paper and focuses on recommendations related to indirect land-use change (ILUC), electric vehicle revenue recycling, effective compliance options, and emissions intensive and trade exposed (EITE) considerations to help ensure the CFS is ambitious, comprehensive, and transparent.
