TAF & BEIC Response to Green Button Regulatory Proposal

January 2018. Government of Ontario. In collaboration with BEIC, TAF provided feedback to the provincial government related to the implementation of the Green Button Program throughout the province. Several concerns were raised throughout the response related to the rollout of the program, and ensuring uptake by homeowners and building operators, in order to achieve meaningful reductions in energy usage. Recommendations included establishing an implementation working group with industry members to facilitate compliance, education programs to inform homeowners about the benefits of Green Button for their home energy use, and collaboration with interested 3rd party application producers to facilitate the development of 3rd party applications.
