Under the Pan-Canadian Framework for Clean Growth and Climate Change, the federal government committed to “modernize procurement practices, adopt clean energy and technologies, and prioritize opportunities to help Canadian businesses grow, demonstrate new technologies and create jobs.” How can this commitment to lower carbon emissions through improved federal procurement be achieved? Clean Energy Canada assembled a roundtable that formulated a set of key recommendations. The Atmospheric Fund was among the signatories and provided crucial input through its Director of Policy & Programs Bryan Purcell.
