Plug’n Drive Report EV Survey

May 2017. To get a better understanding of the barriers to accelerated electric vehicle (EV) uptake in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, Plug’n Drive commissioned a scientific survey of 1,000 gasoline-powered car owners and almost 200 EV owners in the region. The TAF-funded research found that most conventional car owners are not familiar with existing purchase incentives for EVs in Ontario. The lack of public charging infrastructure was identified as another major obstacle.
