Modeling Potential Rate-Payer Benefits Associated with EV-Ready Retrofit Incentives

October 2025. This report assesses the benefits of a province or utility providing incentives to upgrade parking spaces for electric vehicles (EVs) in multi-family buildings. The study helps justify a proactive and coordinated approach to upgrading EV parking spaces over a piecemeal approach. By providing evidence of the costs and benefits of coordinated, utility-supported programs, the findings can inform policy, program design, and regulatory decisions to make EV charging more affordable, scalable, and grid-friendly.
