We support Ontario’s proposed amendments to Ethanol in Gasoline regulations as measures to reduce the carbon footprint of fuels. Increasing the use of renewable fuels forms a crucial part of Ontario’s plan to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and slow the escalating impacts of climate change. Renewable fuel producers are also part of a growing, thriving economy in Ontario, creating numerous jobs for small and large communities in agriculture and cleantech, and helping Ontario keep pace with a rapidly expanding market for cleaner alternatives to fossil fuels (e.g. ethanol, biodiesel, etc).
