April 2019. Government of Ontario. We support Ontario’s proposed amendments to Ethanol in Gasoline regulations as measures to reduce the carbon footprint of fuels. Increasing the use of renewable fuels forms a crucial part of Ontario’s plan to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and slow the escalating impacts of climate change. Renewable fuel producers are also part of a growing, thriving economy in Ontario, creating numerous jobs for small and large communities in agriculture and cleantech, and helping Ontario keep pace with a rapidly expanding market for cleaner alternatives to fossil fuels (e.g. ethanol, biodiesel, etc).
