Backgrounder TGS Energy Standards

The Toronto Green Standard (TGS) was created as a voluntary standard in 2006 and made mandatory in 2010 to improve energy efficiency standards for new construction projects – with TAF as a policy development partner. This background document provides the context for TAF’s 2013 recommendations to the City for the second version of the TGS.
