Heat pumps absolutely work in cold climates
One of TAF's pilot projects with Toronto Community Housing tackled two problems facing residents: uncomfortable temperatures and high utility costs. The results of our new case study, Retrofits from a heat pump retrofit at Walpole Ave, show 97% resident satisfaction with indoor summer temperatures and 80% with winter temperatures. Find out more about how we did and what we learned.

The other best kept secret about heat pumps
Even during a pandemic we managed to install 127 heat pumps in a Mississauga apartment tower in just three months. This electrically heated building is now set to save 65% in utility costs with cold climate air source heat pumps, after almost no disruption to building residents during construction. Thanks to partner Bondi Energy and funding via IESO, FCM, and Canada's Climate Action Incentive Fund.
See more pics of the installation on Argyle Rd, Mississauga.
