The Shuttle Challenge was a two-phase project, conducted in the fall of 2012 and spring of 2013. The challenge aimed to encourage drivers to reduce the number of car trips and fuel consumption. This report discusses key findings, program design, implementation, results, and recommendations for pursuing future opportunities. The project informed other regional efforts such as Metrolinx’s Smart Commute program. The project by Summerhill Group, financed by TAF, received the 2013 Minister’s Award for Environmental Excellence.
